Holly Springs, NC – Daniel Currin, President of Greenscape Inc. (www.greenscapeinc.com) today congratulated Green Team member Adam Southwell for being approved by the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects to be a Registered Landscape Architect in the state. Minimum requirements include a specified course curriculum, least four years of industry experience and the successful completion the L.A.R.E. national exam.

“I’ve been working toward becoming a landscape architect for the past eight years,” says Southwell. “I have received a lot of support from my team members here at Greenscape and am excited to have passed the Landscape Architect Registration Exam and met the requirements to be called a landscape architect.” North Carolina requires landscape architects to be registered and certified to practice, with ongoing education requirements and mandatory annual license renewal.

“Greenscape has always been very focused on education,” say Currin. “In addition to providing internal training on landscape-related topics, we encourage all Green Team members to pursue outside professional development opportunities. Becoming recognized in N.C. as a landscape architect involves a lot of effort. We congratulate Adam on this tremendous personal and professional accomplishment.”

The North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects was established by legislation in 1969 to register professional landscape architects with the intent of protecting public health, safety and welfare. The Board oversees licensing and enforces a Code of Conduct for all members.
