Come Alive Outside
The Come Alive Outside Movement was founded in 2010 by Jim Paluch in an effort to promote the benefits of an active, outdoor lifestyle. The Movement engages landscape industry professionals to create spaces that draw people outside, and to take the lead in encouraging others to Come Alive Outside.
Greenscape Inc. is a proud supporter of the Come Alive Outside Movement. Studies have shown that people who spend time outdoors are often healthier and happier than people who spend most of their time inside. When we head outside, we connect with nature and with other people. It turns out when mom said, “Go outside and play,” she was giving us good advice.
Greenscape is committed to educating others about the benefits of spending time outdoors, and offering landscape design, build and management services that make people’s yards a place they can truly use as outdoor living spaces.
Green Team members recently contributed outdoor games for the Come Alive Outside Book of Games, which offers games for backyards and parks/large spaces, and for small or large groups.
Our committment
In addition, Green Team members complete several outreach projects each year that benefit organizations that encourage healthy, outdoor activities. In 2013, we refreshed the Castaway Cove Garden at the Marbles Kid’s Museum and refurbished the playing fields and landscaping at the Boys & Girls Clubs Serving Wake County. We continue to look for ways to bring the Come Alive Outside Movement to life.
